Vietnam has been always one of Xiaomi’s key markets in Southeast Asia

The standardization of Xiaomi’s customer service quality and Synnex FPT’s perfect distribution service are believed to assure Xiaomi’s position as one of the top technology brands and Synnex FPT’s world-class distribution service. On the occasion of the “Signing Ceremony of Strategic agreements” between the two parties on January 19, 2022, we discussed with Mr. Patrick Chou, the country manager, Xiaomi VN, the challenges and opportunities the two might have in the coming time.

Synnex FPT: Could you please share Xiaomi’s strategic orientation for the next 3 years in Vietnam?

Mr. Patrick Chou (the country manager, Xiaomi VN): Vietnam has been always one of Xiaomi’s key markets in Southeast Asia. Thus, in the coming time, Xiaomi’s core strategies will continue to be boosted here. Our key strategies for the near future in Vietnam include the release of top-notch smartphones with affordable prices and outstanding features and technology that meet customers’ demands. This is also Xiaomi products’ strength compared to their competitors in the market. Meanwhile, the number and variations of Xiaomi’s smart AIoT devices in Vietnam will increase, urging a balance between products in the AIoT’s environment and Xiaomi’s smartphones. In 2022, we aim at achieving the balance in the “Smartphone x AIoT” strategy. Finally, it is through the pro-activeness of resources that we could bring a number of the best and the most products to the customers through strategic partnerships with our key partners.

Synnex FPT: How do you expect the development opportunity to be after Xiaomi and Synnex FPT’s distribution agreement?

Mr. Patrick Chou (the country manager, Xiaomi VN): Over the past few years, Xiaomi has been sustainably developing in its business activities as well as having breakthroughs in the field of technology. Our partner, Synnex FPT is one of the best technology and cable distributors in the market. For the same purpose of serving the key customers of the active, techno-enthusiastic, smart device users who look for solutions for a better and easier life and work, our partnership is expected to widen the distribution of smartphones and appliances in Xiaomi’s environment. Therefore, we meet the demands for products that promote people’s smart lifestyles in the Vietnam market, and, at the same time, meet the remarkable growth targets of both Xiaomi and Synnex FPT thanks to this strategic partnership.

Synnex FPT: What will you say about the opportunities as well as challenges Synnex FPT might have as entering the distribution chain of Xiaomi’s products?

Mr. Patrick Chou (the country manager, Xiaomi VN): By entering the distribution chain of Xiaomi’s products, Synnex FPT can reach a high number of potential customers who have known and favored the technology products of Xiaomi. To be specific, it is the Mi Fan’s massively active community that are the genuine techno enthusiasts, and the youngsters and families who love the modern lifestyles. Among them, many might use multiple technology products to level up their smart lifestyle experiences. Next, it is the consistency of quality in Xiaomi’s products that helps our partners become the first to appear in customers’ minds as looking for quality technology products with affordable prices. Finally, it is the standardization of Xiaomi’s service quality that when it combines with your world-class distribution service will assure Xiaomi’s position as one of the top technology brands and Synnex FPT’s world-class distribution service. However, this might as well be a challenge for Synnex FPT as it has to guarantee the highest quality for customers while optimizing the role of a distributor for the purpose of bringing Xiaomi’s smart products to customers.
