FPT Joins Qualcomm‑Led Coalition to Accelerate AI‑Native 6G Networks

FPT Corporation has officially participated in a new global industry coalition convened by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., joining leading technology companies to establish a milestone‑driven roadmap for the development and commercialization of AI‑native 6G networks. The collaboration was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2026, with early demonstrations planned as part of the initiative.
Designed as an AI‑native system from the ground up, 6G represents a fundamental shift in how connectivity, intelligence, and computing converge. Future 6G networks will unify ultra‑high‑performance connectivity, wide‑area sensing, and distributed computing into a single intelligent platform – enabling new classes of applications, devices, and AI‑enabled services across industries.
The collaboration spans devices, networks, and cloud infrastructure, with a shared goal to advance 6G as an AI‑native platform and alignment on developing core standards, validating systems early, demonstrating pre‑commercial 6G networks in 2028, and launching interoperable commercial 6G from 2029. FPT will join global members to also enable new business models and services to accelerate adoption across the 6G ecosystem, shaping 6G from research to real‑world deployment, drawing on FPT’s strengths in large‑scale digital engineering, AI, and system integration.

“6G is more than the next step in wireless evolution. It is the foundation for an AI-native future that distributes intelligence across devices, the edge, and the cloud, and transforms network providers into AI-driven enterprises,” said Cristiano Amon, president and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated. “Having led multiple generations of global wireless innovation, Qualcomm brings deep expertise and capabilities to the development and commercialization of 6G. As with every wireless transition, success will depend on strong and dedicated partnerships, shared purpose and joint innovation. This group of industry leaders is making a united commitment to invest and innovate to deliver on a common 6G vision, beginning with the rollout in 2029.”
Commenting on FPT’s participation, Dr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, said: “As AI, advanced compute, and paradigms such as quantum and LLMs rapidly converge amid technology disruption, 6G emerges as the intelligent layer that unifies connectivity, wide‑area sensing, and high‑performance computing into an AI‑native platform. In this era, speed of innovation is decisive – and collaboration is a core mandate in FPT’s strategic direction.”
“We are proud to join Qualcomm Technologies and other global leaders in this coalition to accelerate the 6G trajectory toward next‑level connectivity. This strengthens FPT’s ability to translate advanced technologies into real‑world impact for our clients across industries, continents and markets. It will also advance FPT’s strategic capabilities across intelligent mobility, autonomous UAV systems, smart manufacturing, and advanced digital engineering, creating sustainable value for a safer, smarter, and more resilient world.”

Through this participation, FPT underscores its long‑term commitment to collaborative innovation by working alongside Qualcomm and global ecosystem partners, helping to accelerate the transition of 6G from early validation to scalable, interoperable deployment—contributing to a future where AI‑native networks deliver real‑world value at global scale.
